The Work
HBD Equine is a boutique horse breeding farm in Cape Town, founded by Megan Cunningham. “HBD” stands for Here Be Dragons, the phrase old mapmakers used for the unknown edges of the world, and that spirit runs through the farm’s approach to breeding, training, and riding. The operation covers the whole arc of a horse’s life, from breeding through to day-to-day care, and runs two named programmes: HBD Stallions and HBD Bred Horses. The brand line is A legacy of trust. A pursuit of excellence.
